Tailor Inc, in association with Ministry have recently completed Todd Capital’s new Auckland HQ.
Todd Capital had been working from a co-working space in Britomart for some time when Robert Jones Holdings presented the opportunity to occupy Level 18 of AIG House in Shortland St.
Ministry were engaged to provide early layout design and landlord upgrades for the floor, then Tailor Inc, through a long association with Todd Properties, were asked to assist with finessing the final design and also to provide a furniture and fittings package to complete the workplace.
The floor provides a relaxing, yet refined interior with multiple workplace settings within, including - a large social hub with extensive harbour views, a workshop area, touchdown workstations, private focus rooms and multiple meeting and collaboration settings.
On a practical level, the complete absence of structured IT cabling frees the floor plate and the staff from being locked into any single location – one of the first Tailor Inc designed workplaces to promote this freedom of choice.
Tailor’s Workplace Director, Kevin Russ says: ‘This simple but beautiful workplace demonstrates the best of offering staff a destination HQ which provides a work setting for any activity a person may need to undertake during their day, whilst keeping staff comfortable, engaged and connected’
Senior Interior Designer Nicky Wood offers the following thoughts on the materials palette chosen for Todd Capital – ‘Our client wanted their space to feel professional and timeless with a subtle elegance to it. To achieve this, we used layering of strong timbers alongside soft neutral textures and brass accents throughout the space, resulting in a refined and sophisticated environment which resonates with our client’s vision and values.’
