Delivering on time for Tauranga Crossing

In April 2019, Tauranga Crossing opened its second and most impressive stage, 18,000sqm of enclosed retail space connected to the existing open-air retail centre which opened for business 18 months before.

With over 85 new shops, a vibrant two-level food and beverage precinct, Event V-Max cinema and H&M, Tauranga Crossing is the Bay of Plenty’s pre-eminent, award-winning regional shopping centre.

In a highly-competitive retail market, Tailor provided several project services including Project Management and Retail Tenancy Delivery. The latter is an extensive coordination exercise that saw us integrate leasing and retail fit-out activities into the construction phase of the project.

We accomplished the Retail Tenancy Delivery to a strict programme in time for a successful grand opening, a rare feat these days but one for which Tailor has become renown.

In addition, Tailor Project Managers delivered Gilmours’ and Farmers’ stand-alone retail buildings on an adjacent site in the lead-up to the main opening.
