When Art and Fashion Collide

When friends Dan Gosling, Luke Harwood, and Marc Moore established their fashion brand Stolen Girlfriends Club, they did so without formal training in fashion, giving them an edge in an industry steeped in trend replication.

“This project would not have been executed to the high standard and luxurious finishes without the exemplary project management of Tailor Inc. Elaine was exceptional to work with and we were kept updated across all the moving parts all the way through the project. We wanted to set an international standard for this flagship retail door and believe this has been achieved”

Our design inspiration was focused on creating a playful and interactive aesthetic paired with a calming colour palette to create a soothing environment when you entered the space, as opposed to a typical clinic. Each joinery element within the space was designed with both the brand and durability in mind, and the space planning was key to ensure functionality throughout the clinic.

“Taking on the brand’s independent personality and facilitating the unique and bespoke design did have some challenges",” says Tailor Inc’s Retail Project Manager, Elaine Joyce. “However, achieving the extraordinary often releases the exceptional, evidenced in the finished store.”

With many of the finishes wrapped in textured foil sitting remotely in a black interior you would be hard pressed not to think you were about to enter a rave, but this is the success of The Stolen Girlfriends Club; all is not what it seems.
