From Soil to Soul

Tailor Inc was asked to design and deliver a bespoke workplace environment for the Lewis Road Creamery and Southern Pastures Team to align the organisation's office space with its sustainable on-farm values.

It was an instinctive partnership of like-minded businesses when constructing a more sustainable work environment.

As you enter the space you are greeted with a warm and inviting open plan lounge, dining, and kitchen space consciously mimicking a home environment. The intention was for these key areas, which are so important to their workplace, is to draw clients and their team into the space and function as the main hub in the design.

The finishes selected were inspired by the New Zealand landscape and green pastures, along with subtle nods to Lewis Road’s signature gold branding. A natural earthy tonal palette was used, teamed with renewable sustainable materials such as natural timbers throughout the space. Brass accents were used to highlight key elements, adding richness to the neutral colour palette.

Key Challenges:

Creating an inviting and tranquil experience within a heritage building located in the heart of Britomart.

As with all heritage buildings, there are always challenges involved when incorporating unique services requirements without compromising the Landlord and construction progress. Working alongside the basebuild development team, including the incumbent services consultants, was critical to ensure the process was made seamless for our client, whilst ensuring the Green Star certification for the Landlord was adhered to, through both design and delivery.
